Car Crashes into Tree in Salem Township, Driver Escapes Injury

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 3:35 p.m. on November 17, a one-car accident occurred on Interstate 80 West, at the 48.2 mile marker, in Salem Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 26-year-old Olaniyi Taiwo, of Calumet City, Illinois, was traveling west on I-80, and his 2008 Acura RL crossed the center line of the roadway and the left lane.

His car exited the roadway and struck a tree, police say.

He was using a seat belt and was not injured.

He was charged with a traffic violation.
