Edgar L. YochimEdgar Lewis Yochim, 83, of Clarion, died on Sunday, November 16, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Clarion.

Born in Pittsburgh in 1931, he was the son of Herman and Marie Bickle Yochim.

He was married to the former Ella Jean Blair Yochim, and she survives.

Edgar served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he worked for the Warren Corporation for several years. He then worked for Owens Illinois as a master electrician for over 30 years. He retired in 1996.

He enjoyed hunting in his younger years. After retirement, he liked watching wrestling, Judge Judy, and John Wayne movies.

Edgar was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 2145, American Legion Post 66, and Moose 101, all of Clarion.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ella; a son, Eric James Yochim of Clarion; a daughter, Wendy Marie Bowser of Coca, FL; and grandchildren, Trevor and Shannon Bowser, also of Coca, FL.

Also surviving are sisters, Lois (Marty) Collins of South Carolina, Betsy (Frank) Gloor of Baden; sisters-in-law, Delores Yochim of Baden and Carole Guntrum of Rimersburg; special nephews, Brade Guntrum, Jr. of Sligo, Michael Del Guntrum of Clarion; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four infant children; brother, Herman Yochim; and in-laws, Jim and Helen Blair.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home, 638 Wood Street, Clarion.

At Edgar’s request, there will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be private for the family.

Interment will be held in the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.
