WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash involving a deer occurred around 6:00 a.m. on November 16, on State Route 157, in Washington Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Staci R. Snyder, 34, of Lucinda, was traveling west on SR 157.

A deer entered the roadway 300 feet east of Pine City Road from the north side of SR 157, say police.

Snyder was unable to avoid striking the deer head-on with her 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Police say Snyder was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and escaped injury.
