Fesenmyer, Freda CroppedFreda D. Fesenmyer, 93, of Fryburg passed away November 20, 2014 at UPMC Northwest.

Born on February 2, 1921 in Venus, PA and she was the daughter of Edna Beck.

Freda graduated from Shippenville High School in 1939.

She was married on May 8, 1948 to Clyde P. Fesenmyer who preceded her in death on January 4, 2004.

Freda was a member of St. Michael Church in Fryburg.

Before she was married she worked at Venus Telephone in Venus. After she was married she was a devoted mother and homemaker.

Freda always enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and embroidery.

She is survived by a son William Fesenmyer of Seneca; a daughter Debra Gregory of Oil City; and three grandchildren William, Kerri and Danielle.

Also surviving are brother-in-laws Charles Fesenmyer and his wife Marion and Theodore Fesenmyer; also sister-in-laws Gladys I Smerkar; and Mary Gilbert.

She is the last surviving member of her immediate family: Raymond, Ralph, Floyd, Richard, Minie Wolfe and Mary Hillwig all preceded her in death.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A parish vigil service will be celebrated at 1:45 pm on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. D.G. Davis III, Pastor of St. Michael Church.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 pm on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at St. Michael Church in Fryburg, with Rev. D.G. Davis III, Pastor of St. Michael Church as the celebrant.

Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery following the mass.

Memorials in Freda’s honor may be made to St. Michael Church.
