Car vs Deer Collision on Route 66

JENKS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say around 6:30 p.m. on November 21, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 66, in Jenks Township, Forest County,.

According to police, 20-year-old Rachel L. Confer, of Rew, Pa., was traveling southbound on SR 66, and a deer entered the roadway in front of her 2008 Saturn Aura.

The front bumper of the Saturn struck the deer, and the car became disabled on the roadway, police say.

Ms. Confer and a passenger, 18-year-old Ann M. Confer, also of Rew, were using seat belts and were not injured.

The car sustained severe front end damage and was towed from the scene by Zook Motors.
