Say What?!: 1,300 Piglets Rescued After Indiana Highway Crash

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana — Hundreds of piglets on the way to market were rescued from a semi that overturned on an interstate outside of Indianapolis.

Some 700 pigs died as a result of the crash, but hundreds of others were saved.

The semi, traveling from North Carolina to Iowa to deliver the swine, flipped on Interstate 465 near Interstate 74, the Indiana State Police said. The truck was carrying 2,058 pigs. The driver was not seriously injured.
