Local NewsSportsDay & Vest Sweep Diving Honors Aganist KenyonRichard HermanPublished November 25, 2014 5:14 amCLARION, Pa. — Senior Kristin Day and sophomore Collin Vest swept the one and three meter diving events on Saturday at Waldo S. Tippin Natatorium in a diving event against Kenyon. Day, the defending NCAA D-II champion on 1 and 3 meter, won the one meter competition with 276 points, topping Kenyon’s Maria Zarka who had 245.18. On three meter she won with 303.75 points, besting Zarka who finished with 275.48. Also placing in the top five for the golden Eagles were Sarah Zerfoss, Caitlyn Kaufman, Lauren Slayton, Noelle Melani and Grace Nielsen. Zerfoss was third on one meter (236.18) and three meter (250.95), with Melani fourth on one meter (224.25) and Nielsen fifth on one meter (219.53). Kaufman meanwhile was fourth on three meter (232.28) and Slayton fifth (227.03). In men’s action Collin Vest won one meter with 298.13 points, and also took three meter with 301.20. Teammate Nick Larmon was second on one meter (267.83) and three meter (257.93), while Jackson Gray was third on three meter (248.78) and fourth on one meter 227.33.
