Teen Driver Injured After Vehicle Slams into Tree on Route 66

JENKS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred November 21 at 12:25 p.m., on Route 66, in Jenks Township, Forest County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Kaleb K. Kempthorne, 19, of Massillon, OH, was traveling north on SR 66 in a 2005 Ford F-450 Super Duty.

Kempthorne lost control of his vehicle, traveled along the east berm of the roadway for approximately 606 feet, and impacted a large tree, police say.

The vehicle came to a rest against the tree with the front end facing north.

Kempthorne was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was treated by Clarion Hospital EMS for minor injuries.

Kempthorne was cited for a traffic violation.
