Two-Vehicle Collision in Beaver Township

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police report a two-vehicle collision occurred November 22 at 1:03 p.m., on Popetown Road, in Beaver Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the crash occurred as the driver of a 2002 Mazda MPV approached a stop sign at the intersection of Knox Commons and Popetown Road.

The driver of the Mazda was unable to stop due to icy road conditions and slid out into the middle of the intersection with Popetown Road as the driver of a 2007 Jeep Compass was traveling south on Popetown Road.

The Jeep struck the Mazda on its driver’s side.

Police say both units then pulled off the roadway.

No other information was provided.

The names of the drivers were not released.
