BARNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred on November 22 at 12:10 p.m., on State Route 899, in Barnett Township, Forest County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Andrew J. Hoover, 62, of Shippenville, was traveling north on SR 899, south of Maple Creek Road.

Police say Hoover lost control of his 2006 Ford F-350 pickup on the ice-covered roadway. He then attempted to regain control, but was unable.

Police say the pickup spun clockwise across the center yellow line, through the southbound lane, and off the west side of the roadway.

Then, the vehicle rolled over and came to a final rest on its roof in a ditch.

Hoover was wearing a seat belt and escaped injury in the crash.

He was cited with a traffic violation.
