Slushy Roads Cause One-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Route 208

ELK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 1:50 p.m. on November 26, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 208, in Elk Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 39-year-old Amelia P. Anderson, of Clarion, was traveling east on SR 208 and was negotiating a left turn in the roadway. Anderson lost control of her 2006 Lexus RX330 in the slush while negotiating the turn.

The vehicle traveled off the roadway onto the south berm where the right front impacted with a culvert. The vehicle then traveled up an embankment, causing to vehicle to rollover onto its roof.

Anderson was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

A 3-year-old passenger in Anderson’s vehicle was using a child safety seat and suffered minor injuries.

Shippenville Ambulance assisted a the scene.
