Jacqueline Mae Herndon, 89, of the Golden Living Center, Clarion, formerly of Fryburg, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014.

Born on April 4, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan; she was the daughter of Charles Arthur and Ruby Vivian Kuhl Sisson.

Jackie was married on April 30, 1943 to Charles Herndon, who preceded her in death.

A veteran, Jackie served in the U.S. Army.

She worked as a secretary for the Ford Motor Company.

Jackie was a member of the Masons Shriners.

Surviving are three children, Charles Herndon, Gay Susan Swartz, and Tommy Lynn Herndon; granddaughters, Jennifer Kerman, Jacqueline Steitz, and Sarah Herndon; and grandsons, Shawn Herndon, Scott Herndon, and Harold Sampson.

Also surviving are three siblings, Gay Allen, Joyce Daum, and James Hoover.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral services will be private for the family.
