Deer Causes One Vehicle Accident on Route 62

HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash involving a deer occurred around 7:14 p.m., on November 30, on State Route 62, in Hickory Township, Forest County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Mark E. Strandburg, 56, of Warren, was traveling south on SR 62 in a 2008 Dodge Caravan.

Police say Strandburg struck a deer that ran onto the roadway 377 feet south of Allagahany Acres.

Strandburg was able to bring the vehicle to a controlled stop south of the point of impact.

Strandburg was wearing a seat belt at the time of the impact and was uninjured.
