OI1815844191_cavellphoto001Sibyl Marie Cavell, 94, of Franklin, PA., died at 12:45 A.M. on Wednesday Dec. 3, 2014 at Sugar Creek Station, where she had resided since March of 2011.
Born on Feb. 5, 1920 in Many, LA., she was the daughter of the late William R. & Daisy E. Robinson.
Sibyl graduated from St. Vincent Academy in Shreveport, LA. And received her college degree from St. Vincent College. She enjoyed 48 years of marriage to Donald F. Cavell who died on January 11, 1991.
During her years in Franklin, Sibyl was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Women Club, AARP, and RSVP. She continued her tap dancing career as a Venango Vamp and loved participating in exercise classes at the Y.

Sibyl enjoyed reading, dancing, her children and grandchildren, they were the light of her life, also bringing joy to her life were faithful and attentive friends, Shirley Mackey and Mary McNally
Near the end of her life, Sibyl was fortunate to meet and be cared for by the wonderful staff at Sugar Creek Station. Many of her caregivers on the 600 hall became a surrogate family for her and greatly enhanced her final years.

Sibyl is survived by two daughters, Donna Cavell of Columbus, OH, Stephanie Gauzza & her husband Glenn of Media, PA. A son O. David Edwards & his wife Kathleen of Victoria, TX, and two grandchildren, Alexandra Gauzza & her husband David Gale of Philadelphia, and Adam Gauzza of Brooklyn, NY.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sibyl was preceded in death by one brother Roland Robinson five sisters Theresa Giering, Margery Clotfelter, Geraldine Pearce, Barbara Cochran and Rosemary Hill

The family will be receive friends in the vestibule of St. Patrick’s Church in Franklin on Tuesday December 9 from 12:15 until 12:45 P.M.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. in the church with Msgr. John Herbein, Pastor, Presiding.

Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

The Reinsel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sugar Creek Station Auxiliary.
