OI2036753201_hahnmark001Mark V. Hahn, 54, of Oil City died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh surrounded by his loving family after an illness.

He was born July 5, 1960, in Oil City, son of Maxine L. and the late Vincent J. Hahn. He was a 1978 graduate of Oil City High School and attended Clarion University. He was married February 16, 1980, at St. Joseph Church to Susan Eckert.

Mark was employed throughout his life at Stubler Beverage and was later co-owner of Hilltop Beverage in Franklin until his retirement in 2012.

He was an avid sports fan particularly the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, he also enjoyed stories of Roberto Clemente, the music of Stevie Nicks, and gardening. He coached elementary boys’ basketball, Little League and Senior Little League baseball, and girls’ softball. He was a member of St. Joseph Church and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.

His life revolved around his family. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his beloved son, Michael Stephen Hahn, of Chicago, IL and beloved daughter, Mirinda Leigh Hahn, of Chicago, IL. Also surviving are two brothers, Phillip (Deb) Hahn of Oil City and Joseph (Jodie) Hahn of Shade Gap, PA and nieces and nephews, Kristy, Brian, Zachariah, Isaiah, Rebecca, and Kole Hahn. He is also survived by his in-laws, Carole and Jack Eckert and sister-in-laws, Sally Moran, Sharon Wagner, and Mary Eckert and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brother-in laws, Stephen and Scott Eckert.

Friends will be received Sunday in the Reinsel Funeral Home from 4-7P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2pm Monday at St. Joseph Church with Fr.. Justin P. Pino presiding.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials will be made to the Venango County Humane Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
