Police Seek Information on Theft of Rifle in Farmington Township

FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say yesterday a theft occurred in a parking lot on State Route 66, in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

According to police, sometime between 6:00 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. on December 6, an unknown perpetrator(s) gained entry to a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 that was in the parking lot of the Vowinckel Hotel.

The perpetrator(s) smashed the passenger side window of the vehicle with an unknown object and removed a Savage 7 mm-08 rifle, camouflage in color with a scope and leather sling, police say.

The damage and loss is estimated at $600.00, according to police.

The victim is a 56-year-old Vowinckel man.
