Harold O. Starcher

thumbsHarold O. Starcher, 51, of New Bethlehem, died unexpectedly on Sunday evening, December 14, 2014 at his home.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 10, 1963, he was the son of Otmer Clark Starcher and Dorothy (Shilling) Starcher.

He was married on June 26, 2004 to Tammi S. (Henry).

He worked at WRC Edgewood Heights in New Bethlehem as a maintenance man. He attended the Oakland Church of God in Distant and Grace Baptist Church Bible Study in New Bethlehem. Harold was an avid flint knapper, hunter and outdoorsmen. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Tammi Starcher of New Bethlehem, two daughters, Shannon Starcher-Gannon and her husband Casey of Sullivan, Ohio and Tessa Grace Starcher of New Bethlehem, a grandson, Dakota Gannon of Sullivan, Ohio, his mother, Dorothy Starcher of Homerville, Ohio, two sisters, Cindy Homan and her husband Randy of Huron, Ohio and Evelyn Starcher of Ashland, Ohio, a brother, Daniel Starcher and his wife Jodi of Waynesville, Ohio, a sister-in-law, Diane Henry of New Bethlehem, a brother-in-law, Joe Henry, Jr. and his wife Brenda of New Bethlehem, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otmer Clark Starcher and a brother, David Starcher.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 17, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8p.m. and on Thursday, December 18, from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
