Elsie E. “Betty” Zents, 89 of Brookville, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Brookside Senior Living in Brookville, Pa.

Mrs. Zents was born October 4, 1925 in Brookville, the daughter of the late Clarence W. Dinger and Rose Winters Dinger.

She was married on May 5, 1950 in Brookville to the late Francis E. Zents who passed away Oct. 12, 2001.

For 41 years she was co-owner and bookkeeper for Zents Brothers Construction in Brookville, Pa. and also worked for several years at G.C. Murphy Company in Brookville, Pa.

Mrs. Zents was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, Pa. and she enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

She is survived by five sons, Allen Zents (Cindy) of Brookville, Pa., Felix Zents (Vicki) of Milton, Ga., Vic Zents (Denise) of Brookville, Pa., Zane Zents (fiancé Valerie Wentz) of Brookville, Pa., Tracy Zents (Valerie) of Brookville, Pa., eight grandchildren and two great-Grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Francis, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Corbin and Ethyl Zents, two infant siblings and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held by the family on Saturday, December 20 at McKinney Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery
