ASHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 6:40 a.m. on December 22, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 322, 591 feet south of Township Road 398, in Ashland Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 25-year-old Chelsea A. O’Neil, of Knox, was traveling west on SR 322, and for unknown reasons, she lost control of her 2005 Chevrolet Aveo.

Police say the vehicle began sliding sideways and exited the roadway off the north shoulder. The front left of the vehicle struck an embankment causing it to roll onto its left side.

The vehicle slid along the shoulder while on its side before rolling onto its roof and coming to a rest in the westbound lane, police say.

O’Neil was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Shippenville Ambulance Service transported her to UPMC Northwest.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
