2697_sm[1]Ronald E. Bole, 84, of Rimersburg, PA passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Golden Living Center in Clarion.

He was born February 26, 1930 in Rimersburg, the son of Russell and Marguerite (Boltz) Bole.

Ronald was a lifetime resident of Rimersburg and graduated from Union High School in 1948. He honorably served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954, and after returning, earned his Bachelor’s degree in education from Clarion University in 1957. Ronald began his teaching career at Keystone High School and then went to Union High School where he taught history and English. He later became the guidance counselor at the high school, holding the position until his retirement.

In the summers, Ronald worked at his father’s shop, Bole Auto, where he repaired cars. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved trips to his camp in Smethport. Ronald liked going out to eat with his wife, Mildred, and driving anywhere he pleased in his car. He was a life member of American Legion Post 454 and VFW Post 7132, both of Rimersburg, and also belonged to Parker City-Allegheny Valley Masonic Lodge No. 521. Ronald will be best remembered for loving his family and being a wonderful grandfather who was very proud of his grandsons. He never missed an opportunity to do things with them and always went to every game they had.

His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 64 years, Mildred (Crissman) Bole, whom he married August 19, 1950; son, Mark A. Bole and wife, Kim, of Rimersburg; and grandsons, Matthew A. Bole and wife, Jessica, of Pittsburgh, and Michael G. Bole and wife, Rebecca, of Rimersburg.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.

Relatives and friends will be received from 2-6 PM on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 758 Main Street, Rimersburg.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Monday, January 5, 2014, at the funeral home. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Honor Guard Post 454 and VFW Post 7132.

Burial will be in Tidal Union Cemetery, Templeton, PA.
