001 (2)Ellen L. Campbell (Peg) of 1 Elston Way Hermitage Pa passed away peacefully At 3:05 pm Tuesday Dec. 29th 2014 at Sharon Regional Health System of natural causes she was 102. She was a US Army Veteran.

Ellen was born December 10, 1912 in Dunkirk Ohio. Her parents were mother Grace Stevenson and Father Roy A Mull. She had two brothers Harry and Bud Mull.

Ellen grew up in Greensburg Pa. She met her husband Leonard in Rimersburg Pa where she was visiting family on Christmas. They were married in 1932. He died in 1981.

Ellen was employed at Owens Illinois Glass factory Clarion PA She retired after 24 years.

She was a world traveler from the California redwoods, Mexico, and Hawaii. She loved going on cruises, playing cards, bingo and reminiscing with friends.

She lived in PA, Florida,Texas and back to PA. She lived 2 years at Whispering Oaks in Hermitage PA. She made many friends and enjoyed the activities. The last 7 months she lived at Ridgewood of Shenango in Hermitage Pa. She loved it there also and made many friends.

Surviving are one niece through Marriage Dorothy Smith of Florida A Nephew Larry Max Smith and wife Marcia of Maryland and one niece Harriet Schmidt and her husband John of Wisconsin and a sister in law Reatta Mull of Wisconsin.

She has several great nieces and nephews great great nieces and nephews and great great great nieces and nephews whom love her very much.

Locally her great niece Suzanne Hoffman enjoyed spending time with her.

Preceded her in death were: Parents Mother Grace Stevenson and Father Roy Mull Two brothers Harry and Bud Mull, her husband Leonard, and a nephew that was like a son to her William E Smith Sr.

Services will be held at 1pm Saturday January 3, 2015 at the Varner Funeral Home of Rimersburg with the Rev. Mark Deeter, pastor of the Wildcat Weselyan Methodist Church, officiating. Full military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the ceremonial squads of the VFW Post 7132 and Shearer-Shick American Legion Post 454 both of Rimersburg.

Inurnment will follow in the Rimersburg Cemetery.
