OI2034365207_jasiota001Helen E. Jasiota, 89, of Oil City, died at 9:20 A.M. Friday Jan. 2, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Oil City after a period of declining health.

Born Sept. 29, 1925 in Oil City, PA., she was the daughter of the late Andrew J. Drelick & Julia Goreczny Drelick.
Helen attended Assumption Grade School and was a graduate of Oil City High School.

Helen had worked as a waitress for many years at Kozy’s, the Oil Baron, Yellow Dog, and the Main St. Dinor. She could always be found at Drelick’s on Friday nights, helping her family with their fish fry.

She was a member of the Assumption B.V.M. Church and a lifetime member of the Pulaski Club.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat with her family and friend Jack and doing Cryptoquotes.

She is survived by three children, Diane Crawford & her husband Jim of Oil City, Joseph Jasiota & his wife Lessie of Franklin, and Janice Schoeppner of Oil City; 9 Grandchildren, Michelle Cozad & her husband Andrew, Adam Crawford, David Schoeppner & his wife Kim, Nancy Ungvarsky & her husband Philip, Julie Sheridan & her husband Darren, Jill Godard & her husband Justin, Greg Jasiota, Christopher Jasiota and Billy Jasiota; 7 Great Grandchildren, Alex, Isaac and Sophie Cozad, Liam Ungvarsky, Lorelei Sheridan and Isabella & Olivia Godard; One sister Joan Sonoski; three sister-in-laws’, Helen Drelick, Connie Drelick & Eileen Drelick all of Oil City; and a special friend Jack Hynes of Oil City.

She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters and their spouses Mary (Frank) Pintal, Sophie (Joe) Ziemba, Stanley Drelick, Bruno(Sophie) Drelick, Joe (Jean) Drelick, Frank “Coke” Drelick, Andrew Drelick, Adam Drelick, John “Mickey” (Elva)Drelick) and a infant Anthony Drelick and brother-in-law Eugene “Gene” Sonoski.

Friends will be received on Monday in the Reinsel Funeral Home, from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday in the Assumption B.V.M. Church with Fr. Justin P. Pino, Pastor, Presiding.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Stephen’s School.
