HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say around 5:14 p.m. on January 2, a one vehicle accident occurred on Butcher Hill Road (State Route 227), in Harmony Township, Forest County.

According to police, 57-year-old Penny L. Fuller, of East Hickory, was traveling east on SR 227, and the passenger side tires of her 2007 Suzuki XL7 left the south side of the road. This caused Fuller to lose control of the vehicle upon reentering the roadway.

Her vehicle traveled across the westbound travel lane of SR 227 and then traveled off the north side of the roadway for a distance of approximately 66 feet down a steep embankment.

The vehicle then struck a downed tree and continued traveling in a northeastern direction for approximately 33 feet and came to a final rest.

The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene by Frank’s Auto.

Fuller suffered minor injuries.

EmergyCare transported her to Titusville Area Hospital.

She was using a seat belt.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
