Edson L. “Ed” Bonnett, 65 of Rimersburg died unexpectedly at home Sunday January 4, 2014.

Born March 31, 1949 in Rimersburg, Ed was the son of Joe and Virginia (Milner) Bonnett.

A 1967 Graduate of Union High School, Ed was a lifetime resident of Rimersburg. On June 24, 1972, he married the former Mary Lou DeCorte, she survives.

Ed was a heavy equipment mechanic for 30 years for Bracken’s Construction. He previously worked for RexHide in East Brady for a few years and spent 18 years with Waste Management in West Sunbury in until his retirement in 2011.

Ed loved working on his family’s dairy farm, was a devoted Steelers fan and loved time spent with his family.

Surviving is his wife Mary Lou Bonnett of Rimersburg and 1 son Joe Bonnett of Rimersburg. 1 sister Beverly Wright of Rimersburg and 1 brother Larry Bonnett (Clara) of Lexington, NC.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Judy Ballantine and 1 brother in law Donald Wright.

Friends of Edson L. “Ed” Bonnett will be received 2-4, 6-8pm Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kelly’s Way East Brady, PA 16028

Funeral Services will be held 11am Thursday January 8, 2015 in the Funeral Home with the Rev. William Kuba officiating.

Private Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery
