Thumbnail[1]Charlotte L Robbins, 91, of Oil City, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:42 a.m., Monday, January 5th at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born March 12, 1923 in Oakland Township, Venango County, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lanta Renninger Lesh. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was married to Richard Robbins who preceded her in death on December 29, 1988.

Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker and also had worked for the Franklin School District in the cafeteria at the 7th Street School. She was a faithful, active member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin, where she sang in the choir, was a member of the Baptist Missionary Society, was a Deaconess, and helped with church dinners.

Charlotte enjoyed traveling with her husband, square dancing, and playing cards with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Richard Robbins and his wife, Ellen, of Hadley, PA; and her daughter, Rita Lore of Oil City. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Curl and her husband, Chad, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Erin Conley and her husband, Thomas (“TJ”), of Saxonburg, Vikki Ellen Kelly of Titusville, and Richard Alan Lore and his wife, Kathy, of Pittsburgh.

Charlotte is additionally survived by her great-grandchildren, Tyler and Sarah Conley, Ashley and Zack Kelly, and Richard Harrison, and Katlyn Lore.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Robbins was preceded in death by her brothers, Warren and Paul Lesh; and her sisters, Roxie Huff, Winsome Spence, and Betty Kean.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Friday, January 9th from 3 to 5 p.m.

Funeral services for Charlotte will be held at the First Baptist Church on Friday, January 9th at 5:30 p.m. following visitation, with Pastor Randy Powell, pastor of the church, officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Charlotte’s memory to the First Baptist Church in Franklin — 1041 Liberty Street, Franklin PA 16323.
