Virginia A. Hawk Lemmon

Virginia A. Hawk Lemmon, 85, of Lyndora, Pa., passed away late Saturday afternoon January 3, 2015 at Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Sligo following an illness.

Born in Wildcat, Clarion Co., Pa. on October 10, 1929, she was daughter of the late Harold and Nellie Walter Mortimer.

She was protestant by faith.

Virginia enjoyed working with silk floral arrangements, and made and donated many such arrangements to nursing home residents.

She was also an avid bingo player.

Surviving are a daughter and husband, Rosalie and Alan Bliss of Rimersburg and a son and wife, Robert “Bob” and Carol Hawk of Parker; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ross of Oil City; brother Roger Mortimer of New York state; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lemmon who passed in 1992; a daughter, Sandra Hawk Stitt, and a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria “Judy” and Ernest Campbell, four brothers: Joel, Paul, David, and Gerald Mortimer, and a sister-in-law, Marie Mortimer.

All arrangements are private at the request of Mrs. Lemmon.
