95131ddd58e5f961[1]James Wayne Huffman (Huffy), 72 of Shippenville passed away following a sudden illness Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital surrounded by his wife and family.

Born August 21, 1942 in Knox, he was the son of the late Dallas C. and Essie Brocious Huffman.

On August 30, 1969 James married Mary Gulnac who survives.

James enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking and going on long drives.

He worked at Penn D.O.T. for 26 years before retiring.

Along with his wife James is survived by four sisters, Shirley Texter, Romaine Schreckongost, Pat stitt and Carol Brown, three sisters in law Betty Huffman, Nancy Huffman and Gladys Huffman, a brother in law Sam Ritson and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers William, Robert, Dallas and Ronald, three sisters Geraldine Mills, Louella Beichner and Delores Ritson. Also preceding him in death were five brothers in law James Mills, Paul Beichner, Duane Texter, Carl Schreckongost and John Stitt, a sister in law Janice Huffman and two nephews Michael Huffman and David Beichner.

The family will received friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday, January 9, and 10 to 11 am Saturday, January 10 at the McEntire-Weaver Funeral Home Inc, 504 East Penn Ave, Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Calvin Cook officiating.

Interment will follow at the Cedarview Memorial Park in Strattanville.

In lieu flowers the family request memorials are made to Charitable Deeds and Services, 98 Hickory Nut Lane, Knox, PA 16232.
