Police: Early Morning Accident on Route 36 Under Investigation for DUI

HARMONY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a 23-year-old Titusville woman has been accused of DUI following a crash that occurred around 2:20 a.m. on January 9, on Route 36, in Harmony Township, Forest County.

Police say the suspect was involved in a one vehicle crash on SR 36 just north of Dory Carson Road after losing control of the vehicle and traveling across the southbound lane, striking a pole and coming to final rest partially over a small embankment.

The operator suffered minor injuries and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

This investigation continues pending results of chemical testing of the driver’s blood.

Tionesta Ambulance, Harmony Township VFD, and Frank’s Auto Body assisted at the scene.

The name of the suspect was not released.

No other information was provided.
