Member_142178[1]Robert Glenn Blymiller Jr., 73, of Master Road, Emlenton, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, January 7, 2015 in Salem Twp., Clarion County.

Born on January 9, 1941 in Hovey Twp., Armstrong Co., he was the son of the late Robert Glenn Sr. and Grace Green Blymiller Fry.

He graduated from Emlenton High School in 1959. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a long time active member of the Foxburg American Legion and the Parker VFW. Glenn participated for many years in the funeral honors detail of the posts. He was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the company of his grandkids.

Glenn had been employed for many years as a hammersmith at Cyclops Specialty Steel in Titusville. Following his retirement he moved from Titusville back to Emlenton where he was the owner and operator of R.G. Blymiller’s Gunsmithing on Main Street in Emlenton. Glenn served for many years as the sexton and caretaker of the Allegheny Cemetery in Allegheny Twp., Butler County. He had been a member of the Emlenton Volunteer Fire Dept.

Glenn is survived by his longtime friend, Jane Renwick of Emlenton; three sons, Rob Blymiller of East Palestine, OH, Bobby Dale Blymiller of Minerva, OH, and Johnny Michael Blymiller of Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Brittany Luikart, Chelsea Luikart, Christian Blymiller, and Renee Blymiller; three stepsisters, Lois Orton and her husband, Sam, of Emlenton, Nancy Seltzer and her husband, Allen, of Riverton, NJ, and Betty Lockard and her husband, Bill, of Kentucky, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Glenda Blymiller Luikart; his stepfather, Paul Fry, and two stepbrothers, Paul Fry and Jim Fry.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 1204 Kerr Ave., Emlenton, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. from St. Peter Lutheran Church, St. Petersburg, with the Rev. Deborah Jacobson, church pastor, officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Allegheny Cemetery, Allegheny Twp., Butler County.
