Vehicle vs Deer Collision in Monroe Township

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 6:23 p.m. on January 11, a vehicle versus deer accident occurred on Interstate 80 West, at mile marker 61.2, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 50-year-old Wanda Santos, of South Euclid, OH, was traveling west on I-80 in a 2007 Kia Sportage. A deer came from the south side of the roadway and into the travel lanes.

Santos was unable to avoid the deer and struck it.

She was using a seat belt and was not injured.
