Vehicle Slides from Road and Impacts Tree, Teenage Driver Escapes Injury

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police say around 7:18 p.m. on January 13, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Ferree Road, in Richland Township, Venango County.

According to police, this crash occurred when a 16-year-old male, of Emlenton, was traveling eastbound on Ferree Road in a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero.

Police say the vehicle encountered icy conditions as the teen was negotiating a right hand curve in the roadway. The vehicle subsequently left the roadway and struck a tree.

No injuries were reported. The driver was wearing a safety belt.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Hovis Towing.

The driver was cited for for driving too fast.

Charges were filed at Magistrate Lowrey’s office in Seneca.
