Wilbur E. “Sonny” Cotton ,73, of Leesburg, FL. and formerly of Shaffer Run Rd. Oil City, PA. died Jan. 11, 2015 in Leesburg after an extended illness.

Born May 29, 1941 in New Castle, PA. He was the son of the late Wilbur E. ( Skip ) and Lucille Saylor Cotton.

Sonny was married to the former Deborah S. “Debbie” Kaness on Nov. 14, 1981 and she survives.

He had worked for Koppers for many years and had retired from Jevic Transportation, where he had worked for over 20 years.

Sonny liked country music and singing karaoke, but he truly loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Julie Smith & her husband Jim of Franklin, Brenda Morrow & her husband Jim of Edinboro, and Jennifer Rice & her husband Tom of Franklin, 8 Grandchildren: Ashleigh & her husband Tyler Osborn, Kyle Smith & girlfriend Leah, Hannah Smith, Adam and Aaron Morrow, Tyler Rice & fiance Courtney, and Travis and Tyra Rice, 3 Great Grandchildren: Oakleigh, MaKenleigh, and Coraleigh, His former spouse and the mother of his three children Dottie Zieg of Oil City, a sister Ruth Zacherl of Selbyville, DE, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four siblings: Barbara Albaugh, Beverly Cotton, Jean Cotton, and Stewart Cotton.

Friends will be received from 4:00 -7:00 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

The Funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Barnes, Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Crown, Presiding.

Interment will be in Lamey Cemetery.
