Ellen “Louise” Cox, 93, a lifelong resident of Corsica, Pa. passed away suddenly at her home January 16, 2015.
Louise was the daughter of William Porter Pierce and Sara Anna Pierce who predeceased her.
Louise was also predeceased by her brother, William Howard Pierce also of Corsica, Pa.
Louise is survived by one son, Cecil Lowell Cox and his wife Carol Anne, also of Corsica, Pa.; four granddaughters, Mrs. John (Laura) Bent of Marysville, Pa., Mrs. Gary (Michelle) Shettler of Clearfield, Pa., Karen Tyler of Clinton, North Carolina, and Mrs. Dennis (Leah) Stewart of Corinth, Texas; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Louise was employed by Brookville Glove as a seamstress for 55 years before her retirement in 2001.
Viewing will be at the McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, Pa. on Monday, January 19, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church in Corsica, Pa. with the Rev. James Dietrich, officiating.
Interment will be in the Pisgah Presbyterian Cemetery.
Louise enjoyed gardening and raising flowers, especiallyt orchids, and was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Moose.
