OI800664941_wicejim001James S. Wice, 85, of 406 Cowell Ave. passed away Monday Jan. 19, 2015 at his home.

Born Jan. 3, 1930 in Oil City, PA., he was the son of the late James A. Wice & Freda Hartzell Wice.
Jim attended Oil City Schools.

He was married to the former Ada L. Bell on Sept. 8, 1951 and she preceded him in death on July 15, 1979.
Jim later married Carol A. Diener on Aug. 8, 1993 and she survives.

Mr. Wice had worked for over 25 years at Jack Lowe’s Recapping and retired after 19 years at Penndot, where he was an equipment operator.

Jim attended Our Lady Help of Christians Church, was a member of the Oil City Cycle Club, Goldwings Touring Assoc., the Oil City Moose, VFW, PNA and was a life member at the Pulaski Club.

He enjoyed mowing his grass, wallpapering and being a handy man.

Jim enjoyed baking and was well known for his pies and angel food cakes.

He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Trike.

He is survived by seven children and their spouses, James S. Wice Jr. & his wife Becky of Rockland, Diane Redfield & her husband Dennis of Cranberry, Kevin Wice & his wife Christie of Snowshoe, Craig Wice & his wife Vickie of Franklin, Robert McGinnis & his wife Judi of Brentwood, Bill McGinnis & his wife Joy of Franklin, and Kelly Shrecengost & Joe Foley of Pittsburgh; 19 Grandchildren, James Wice & his wife Lauren, Amy Wice, David Wice & his wife Tami, Travis Wice, Kristie Redfield, Leah Redfield, Kevin Wice Jr. & his wife Buffy, Brad Wice & his fiance Paige, Christopher Cubitt, Summer Graham & her husband Scott, Paula Reeves, Bridget Shawley, Lori Pedley, Melanie Irwin, Kierstyn McGinnis, Betsy McGinnis, Ali McGinnis, Alyssa McGinnis and MacKenzie McGinnis.

17 Great Grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, H. Thomas, Russell, Norbert, Clifford Wice and by four sisters Melda, Hilda, Helen and Edna.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and from 7-9 P.M. Wednesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Davis, Presiding.
