Vehicle Slams into Tree off I-80 in Jefferson County; Knox Man Escapes Injury

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — DuBois-based State Police say a one-vehicle crash involving a Knox man occurred around 6:14 p.m. on January 18 on Interstate 80, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the crash occurred approximately one mile east of Roseville-Sigel Road as Robert D. Brown, 22, of Knox, was traveling westbound on I-80.

Police say Brown lost control of his 2004 Ford Explorer and traveled off the left side of the road.

The Explorer struck a tree and came to rest facing east approximately 50 feet from the roadway, according to police.

Brown was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.

Brown was cited with a traffic violation.
