Local NewsForest Area Students Participate in PMEA District Band and ChorusAmy PowersPublished January 28, 2015 5:24 amDUBOIS, Pa. (EYT) — Veronica McLaughlin and Zoe Thompson, both sophomores, and William Forry, a senior, recently attended the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 3 Chorus Festival. The festival was held at DuBois Area High School from January 22 through January 24, 2015. There were over 30 high schools represented at the festival which brought together over 180 of the area’s top high school singers. Thompson, a student of band director Mr. Brian Rosen, also participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 3 Band Festival which was held at Clarion-Limestone High School from January 8 through 10, 2015. Over 30 high schools in the area participated in the three-day event. The best band musicians came together to perform in two outstanding concerts on Friday night and Saturday morning.
