LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a one vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 80 on January 27, in Limestone Township, Clarion County.

According to police, Kurt R. Harriger, 25, of Corsica, was traveling east on Interstate 80 in a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 when he began to slide sideways.

Harriger attempted to counter-steer, causing the truck to slide in the opposite direction, police say.

This attempt at straightening the vehicle occurred two additional times before it slid off the south side of the roadway and impacted an embankment, causing disabling damage, according to police.

The vehicle came to a rest facing west on the south side of the roadway.

Harriger was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

He was cited with a traffic violation.
