Brookville Man Jailed on $200k Bail for Allegedly Dealing Weed; Juvenile Also Arrested

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police say a Brookville man has been arrested on drug-related charges stemming from an investigation that occurred from July 2014 to January 2015, in Brookville, Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, in July of 2014, a narcotics investigation was initiated by Pennsylvania State Police Troop C Vice Unit and the Jefferson County Drug Task Force.

Police say over the course of the investigation, several buys of marijuana were allegedly made from Isaac Navarrette, 30, of Brookville, and a juvenile male from Brookville. Several of the drug transactions occurred at a residence along East Main Street in Brookville. A drug transaction also occurred at Hill Top One Stop convenience store.

According to police, on February 5, Brookville Borough Police Department placed Navarrette under arrest and transported him to District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office. He was arraigned on the charges stemming from four different cases:

– 4 counts of Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– 4 counts of Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– 4 counts of Intentional Possession of Controlled Substance By Per Not Registered, Misdemeanor

Bail was set at $50,000.00 per case. Navarrette was place in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $200,000.00 cash bail.

He is awaiting a preliminary hearing.

Authorities say the juvenile was arrested through the Juvenile Court System of Jefferson County.

The Pennsylvania State Police Vice Unit was assisted in the investigation by Brookville Borough Police, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, and the Jefferson County Drug Task Force.
