Jean P. Schmader

Schmader photo Jean P. Schmader, 95, of Lucinda, died late Thursday night, February 5, 2015 at her home, after a lengthy illness.

Born November 11, 1919 in Oil City, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Emma N. Schwabenbauer Mottmiller. She was married by Father Joseph A. Kuntz to John J. Schmader II on May 23, 1936 at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1997.

Mrs. Schmader was a member of St. Joseph Church and a member of the Rosary Society. She loved to play bingo, euchre and golf, in her younger days. She also enjoyed sewing.

Mrs. Schmader is survived by 2 sons, John F. and Virginia Schmader of Shippenville and Michael T. and Christina Schmader of Cortland, Ohio and 2 daughters, JoAnn Brown and her husband, James and Patricia Loll and her husband, Donald, all of Lucinda. She is also survived by sister, Grace Nichols and her husband, John of Hermitage. In addition she is survived by 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Schmader was preceded in death by a son, Timothy K. Schmader and 2 sisters, Christine Feehan and Betty Adams and 2 brothers, John and Robert (Bood) Mottmiller.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 10 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor of the church, as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Clarion Forest VNA Hospice, 271 Perkins Road, Clarion, PA 16214.
