Police Searching for Men Who Posed as Water Company Employees, Tried to Enter Homes

GASKILL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney are searching for two imposters who posed as water utility employees to gain entry into a Gaskill Township residence.

According to police, a known male suspect approached a homeowner on January 29 around 1:00 p.m. and stated that he needed to enter the home to check the water.

While the victim was distracted by the suspect, a second male suspect entered the residence.

The victim asked for identification, at which point both suspects told the victim they needed to retrieve the requested identification from their vehicle.

The suspects then entered the vehicle and fled the scene.
