Keith Leroy Smith, Jr., 65, of Crestview Drive, Franklin died at 11:58 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Oil City, PA on October 6, 1949, Keith was the son of Keith Leroy and Dorothy Pauline (Knepp) Smith, Sr.

Keith was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School and served in the U.S. Army. He later became very active in the Civil Air Patrol.

He was employed at Polk Center as a Residential Service Aide (RSA) until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed bowling in his spare time.

Keith is survived by his mother, Dorothy P. Smith of Franklin and his brother, Stephen Duane Smith of Capital Heights, MD.

He was preceded in death by his father, as listed above.

Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. The Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA is handling the arrangements.

Interment will take place in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
