Richard A. (Dick) Kiskadden, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Whitecliff Nursing Home, Greenville.

Dick was born to Horace (Ted) and Nellie (Lowther) Kiskadden on Oct. 26, 1934, in the family home in Atlantic. He married Loretta M. Eaton on July 26, 1957.

Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years and four of his five children, Ted Kiskadden of Clarion, Rick Kiskadden of Saegertown, Dorothy (Dave) Walker of Conneaut Lake, and Vicki Kiskadden/Dave Moss of Conneaut Lake; 10 grandchildren, Bryan (Emily) Kiskadden, Lindsay Kiskadden, Kenny (Kristin) Kiskadden, Amy Nichols, Alaina Kiskadden, Heather Moss, Beth Staggs, Mike Catalano, Kaylee Walker, and Scott Ebbert who grew up on the farm; nine great-grandchildren, Lucius Nichols, Brinley, Lillian, Tenley Kiskadden, Olivia Kiskadden, Jordan Smolensky, Cameron Sauliner, Kylie and Tristan Staggs; sisters-in-law, Sandy Peterson of West Middlesex, Marge Eaton of Conneaut Lake, and MaryAnn Kiskadden of Colorado; brother-in-law, Raymond Erickson of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews including Pat Erickson who visited him often, and Harry (Sally) Kiskadden of Ohio.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Ann Marie; two brothers, Kenneth Kiskadden and Robert Kiskadden; a sister, Marion Erickson; and two great-grandchildren.

Dick was previously employed by the Bessemer, Steel Car, Curtis Trucking, Kinsman Sand & Gravel, Conneaut Lake Sand & Gravel. He also owned and operated his own farm.

Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed farming all of his life. He liked to go to the tractor pulls and even pulled a few times. He enjoyed going to the stock car races and the demolition derbies, especially when the family started being in the demolition derbies. He had a special love of animals and amazingly they loved him back including a goose named Blue and a couple of abandoned baby deer. They grew up free and kept coming back until they were fully grown. He enjoyed going to Doggie’s & P-n-D’s for wings and beer and talking with his friends. He was full of life and enjoyed being with the family the most.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Dickson Funeral Home and Crematory, 130 N. Second St., Conneaut Lake, with a funeral starting at 5 p.m., with Pastor Dave Brumagin officiating.
