Cathy Lynn Goodman, 49, of Oil City, died Saturday, February 7, 2015 in her home.

Born March 14, 1965 in Oil City, she was a daughter of Gloria Thomas Kurtich Aughenbaugh and the late Frank M. Kurtich.

Cathy graduated from Oil City High School in 1983.

She worked at Grandview Health Care for several years, Giant Eagle and later worked at Dollar Store until her health no longer permitted.

Cathy was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Cathy was a truly devoted mother, a loving and caring person to all who knew her. She always put the needs of others before herself.

She enjoyed taking care of her five dogs, baking, watching NASCAR and football. Her favorite hobby was going to garage sales with her mother.’

Surviving are her three children, Chalsey Kurtich and fiancé Chance Rice of Seneca, and Shannon Kurtich and Jeffrey Goodman, Jr. at home.

Also surviving are her mother, Gloria Aughenbaugh of Oil City; a sister, Lisa Kurtich Smith, of Oil City; a nephew, Christopher M. Daman; a niece, Lindsay Daman and companion Steven Bouse; a great niece Skylynn Bouse; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Frank M. Kurtich; a sister, Kimberly Kurtich; and her step father, Charles (Butch) Aughenbaugh.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

A Memorial Service will be conducted in the funeral home at 11 am Friday with the Rev. Philip Scherr, officiating.

Interment will be in Shaw Farm Cemetery.
