REDBANK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say around 8:57 p.m. on February 14, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 28, 459 feet north of Dairy Road, in Redbank Township, Clarion County.

According to police, 40-year-old Charles H. Clinger, III, of Summerville, and 36-year-old William J. Raymond, of Pittsburgh, were involved in the collision.

Police say Clinger was traveling south on SR 28 and Raymond was traveling north on SR 28.

Clinger lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer on the slippery roadway causing it to slide across SR 28 into the northbound lane, police say.

Raymond was unable to stop to avoid the collision and the right side of the Trail Blazer impacted with the front of his 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, according to police.

Both Clinger and Raymond suffered moderate injuries.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Five passengers in Raymond’s vehicle — 35-year-old Amanda L. Raymond; an 11-year-old female; a 17-year-old male; a 4-year-old male; and a 14-year-old male, all of Summerville — suffered minor injuries.

The passengers were using seat belts and a child safety seat.

All occupants of the vehicles were transported to Kittanning Hospital.

Hawthorn Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
