Patricia L. “Patty” Henery, 74, of Kerr Ave., Emlenton, passed away at the home of her daughter Saturday evening, February 14, 2015.

Patricia was born in Scrubgrass Twp., Venango County on March 14, 1940. She was the daughter of Reldon and Lois Jacobs Hassler.

She was a 1958 graduate of Emlenton High School. Patty had attended the Emlenton United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, visiting with friends, collecting angels, and shopping on QVC. In her earlier years she had been employed as a waitress at Cooper’s Hot Dog Shop in Emlenton. She later worked at the cafeteria at Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School.

Only July 18, 1964 she married Kay S. Henery at the Scrubgrass Stone Church. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2000.

Surviving are two children, Douglas K. Henery of Polk and Marcy L. Henery of Emlenton; two granddaughters, Jessica and Sami; a grandson, Tyler Henery; and an “adopted” grandson, Rickey Fauzey, whom Patty affectionately referred to as “that boy”. She is also survived by a sister, Melissa “Missy” Sellers and her husband, Richard “Dick”, of Eau Claire, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Kirk S. Henery and a sister, Dorothy Ritts.
