FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say icy road conditions contributed to a one-vehicle crash that occurred around 7:47 a.m. on February 16, in Farmington Township, Clarion County.

According to police, the crash occurred as Cameron S. Kirkwood, 18, of Leeper, was traveling northbound on Miola Road, just south of Scotch Hill Drive.

Kirkwood lost control of his 2007 Saturn Vue on the icy roadway just after cresting a hill, police say.

The vehicle then spun in a clockwise direction and traveled off the eastern side of the roadway. The vehicle then overturned onto its driver’s side and came to a final rest just east of Miola Road, according to police.

Kirkwood was not injured in the crash and refused medical treatment at the scene, police say.

He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Saturn Vue sustained moderate damage to the driver’s side of the vehicle and was towed from the scene by Snyder’s Auto Body.

Kirkwood was cited with a traffic violation.

PSP Marienville were assisted at the scene by Shippenville/Elk EMS and Snyder’s Auto Body.
