She was 75 years of age.

Born on August 5, 1939 in New Kensington, she was the daughter of Kenneth Wilbert Lemmon and Anna Jane (Creese) Lemmon-Whitling. They have preceded her death along with her step-father, Albert L. Whitling.

She worked as a secretary in the Foreign Languages department at Clarion University for 31 years, retiring in 1997. She made many wonderful friends there over the years.

Susie loved doing art work and made many beautiful drawings for her family and friends. Another love was flowers. She loved planting and growing many beautiful flowers as long as her health permitted. She liked bright colors as was reflected in her drawings, her flowers, and her choice of clothing.

She had a special place in her heart for all of her siblings and her many nieces and nephews, always remembering them with cards and gifts for their birthdays and Christmas.

Susan is survived by her brother Dave Whitling and his wife Jane of Venus; her sisters, Brenda Beggs and her husband John of Seneca, Sharon Frederick and her husband Mike of Clarion, June Rhoads and her husband Doug of Knox, and Cindy Criley and her husband Bill of Butler; her nephews Randy Lemmon, Bryan Beggs, Brent Frederick, Joshua Rhoads, Jason Rhoads, Bill Criley Jr., Shawn Criley, Stephan (T.T.) Whitling, Jeramy Whitling, and Adam Whitling; and her nieces, Bonnie Gilbert, Melissa Williams, Courtney Calderwood, Liane Davis, Trissel Mitchell and Neica Whitling. She also has a number of great nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.

She also leaves behind many close friends, including Lana McClune and Ron Nick (“The Candy Man”).

In addition to her parents and step-father, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, George H. Lemmon, Kenneth W. Lemmon, and Albert L. Whitling, Jr., and a very special friend, Ron Williams.

Her family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Randy Kreider, her nurses and caregivers at Golden Living, and the hospice nurses who were there with her, for their special care.
