Police Release Details on One-Car Crash on I-80, Driver Escapes Injury

ALLEGHENY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a crash occurred on Interstate 80, in Allegheny Township, Butler County.

According to police, around 5:54 a.m. on February 13, Dawn C. Perrone, 48, of Ronkonkoma, NY, was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 in the left lane and lost control of her 2008 Honda Accord around mile marker 44.

While negotiating a right hand curve, Perrone’s vehicle left the south berm and struck a jersey barrier.

The vehicle continued west and re-entered the roadway, crossing the centerline, and exiting the road surface off the north shoulder and struck an embankment before coming to rest.

Perrone was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
