OI1013107094_brookslois001Lois Irene Brooks, 95, a resident of Oakwood Heights in Oil City passed away at 1:00 A.M. Thursday Feb. 19, 2015.

Born May 12, 1919 in Greenville, PA., she was the daughter of the late David E. Bennett & Nancy E. Redic Bennett.

Lois was married in Erie, PA. to Alfred Brooks and he preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brooks worked as a buyer for Carlisle’s in Erie for many years. A resident of Erie for many years, she moved to Oil City in 2003 to be near family. While in Erie, she was a member of the Ladies of the Nile-Queen and the Shriners Club

Lois was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Kapp of Oil City; a daughter-in-law, Janice Clark of Missouri; 3 Step-Children, Craig Brooks of Boston, Robin Carson of MD, David Brooks of Erie; 9 Grandchildren, Stanley Edward Kapp & his wife Mary, Daniel Lee Kapp & his wife Joy, Timothy Alan Kapp & his wife Jeannie, David Scott Kapp & his wife Tangy, Beth Ann Cubbon, Valerie, Cathy, McCauley, and Scott Clark; 14 Great Grandchildren, Matthew, Stephanie, Derek, Andrew, Christopher, Adam, Brandon, Noah, Hannah, Ryan, Krista, Kara, Natalie and Sidney.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Frederick Earl Clark in 2005 and a son-in-law
Edward Kapp in 1998.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later time and date, which will be announced.

Interment will be in Venus Cemetery.
