ThumbnailKristin (“Kris”) Michael Miller, 52, of Keely Road, Franklin died suddenly at his residence at 8:49 p.m., on Friday, February 20, 2015.

Born October 3, 1962 in Franklin, Kris was the son of James and Peggy Lou Miller.

On November 5, 2010 he married the former Elisa Dobrick, who survives.

Mr. Miller was a 1980 graduate of Rocky Grove High School. He was most recently employed at Joy Manufacturing, where he was a tool maker for 14 years. Prior to that, he worked as a Machinist for Shaw Industries and a mechanic for Toyota and Weaver-Buick.

Kris enjoyed hunting, restoring cars, and riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers. He was a devoted father and truly loved and enjoyed his family. He believed in helping everybody.

In addition to his parents, James and Peggy Lou Miller of Franklin and his wife Elisa Miller of Franklin, Kris is survived by his son, Kristin Michael Miller, II of Franklin; his daughter, Kaitlyn A. Miller of Franklin and her boyfriend, Robert Macormac, Jr. of Titusville; his brother, Steven A. Miller and his wife, Jennifer of Oviedo, FL; niece Kayla Miller of Destin, FL; nephew Tyler Miller of Oviedo, FL; and his great-uncle, Harry Beggs, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at funeral home on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Edward Gresick of the Grace United Methodist Church in Rocky Grove, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
